Y-wise
Y-WISE is a two-year project that started on January 1, 2023 and is intended for youth workers in the reception of unaccompanied children and funded under Erasmus+. Youth workers mainly work from their national perspective and legal frameworks, with their own methodologies. They often miss the connection with professionals from other countries. Each country has its own best practices and methods. Y-WISE focuses on increasing the competences of youth workers by learning from other people’s strengths (sharing best practices), methods and tools, while at the same time making each other aware of their own weaknesses and areas for improvement.
During the course of the project, the youth workers will make recommendations based on their experiences to their own team and management, in order to improve the policy and practice of the participating organizations where possible. At the end of the project, a recommendation report will be prepared with the recommendations for each participating organization, but also more general recommendations for the European level.
Two NEO coaches from Nidos are participating in this project, together with youth workers from Asker Kommune – Inkludering og Mangfold (Norway) and Santa Casa da Misericordia de Lisboa (Portugal).
